First movie with my new Flip Mino camera
Enjoy the footage of my tomatoes and the other plants growing on my back porch — they’re truly wonders of urban nature. Keep your fingers double-crossed that the pigeons don’t get my tomatoes before I do. BTW, I saw the system requirements for the Flip Mino after I ordered it. It says that OS 10.5 is required, but so far it’s working without the upgrade. Thoughts on taking my G4 Powerbook to the next level? I can’t decide if it’s worth the trouble. … Read entire article »

King Kong!
Just got back from seeing Peter Jackson’s King Kong. I do believe it’s the first movie that B and I have totally agreed upon this year, and that’s saying something! A few highlights: * The meanest bugs this side of a Raid commercial * The strangest, scariest dinosaur pile-up I’ve ever seen committed to film * Adrian Brody * Motion sickness * A believable and empathetic Kong! * Spectacular bi-plane crashes * Naomi Watts on top of the Empire State Building, in a slinky dress and translucent high heals with the only way down either to jump or TAKE THE STAIRS.
