No, but I think I’ll watch!
This year’s group of contestants from So You Think You Can Dance? will be at the United Center tonight. If you’re there, be on the look-out for me. I’ll be the geek with the Twitch t-shirt shouting louder than Mary Murphy for the Hot! Tamale! Train!
Oh yes I will!
Me: “So I signed up for that Brazillian dance class.”
She: “How was it?”
Me: “It’s the dance equivalent of Tourette’s Syndrome. You’re shaking your ass, your shoulders are going back and forth and your tummy moves in and out.”
She: “Sounds intense.”
Me: “And I haven’t even gotten to the dance steps, yet. It took some time to get the ass thing down. I’ve got those white girl genes, you know.”
She: “But you got it down?”
Me: “It’s hard to know. I can’t move today. Did I mention that you have to do all of this and wear heals?”
She: “I won’t be taking that class.”

The latest art project along Michigan Avenue uses re-purposed refrigerators. I recently had to replace mine, so it’s nice to think it ended up as a work of art. Actually, I wouldn’t mind if my ‘fridge looked like this for real.
I can believe the circus that’s going on around the Blagojevich trial, but it looks like his dream of endless publicity is coming to fruition. At the very least, he’s been immortalized by the state’s taggers.
