This is not a hostile Web takeover... as tempting as that may be.
I plan to relinquish my blog privileges to this site.
But first I wanted to drop the readers out there a line to say Hasta! I've truly enjoyed adding my thoughts to the Web's ever-growing clutter... but I think you'll all agree that this site is a jewel in the mire. Tammy keeps us all reading, and I hope I kept things up to par as the friendly resident stand in!
Glad you're back T, even with your tales of Wall Drug!
Cheers!
And since I'm blog happy today... take a look at the new $20 bill that was released today!
He: All my friends are getting married.
Me: Tell me about it! I went to two weddings in August.
He: It's strange to think of my friends moving back home to be closer to family so their future kids will know their grandparents... so that they can buy houses and live in cozy neighborhoods.
Me: I don't mind it so much, as long as my friends marry good guys. It's the weddings when you're not so sure that really bother me.
He: I've only been to one wedding like that. Their marriage seemed so... passionless. If marriage should have anything it should have passion.
Me: I agree. I would hate being described as passionless. It would be horrible to be passionless!
He: Ya never know what goes on behind closed doors though.
Me: True. They could be a lot of fun at parties.
Me: I went to hear the Blues singer the Bank brought in for Multi-Cultural Week over lunch.
He: How was he?
Me: Not bad for a red-haired white guy.
He: What? White guys can't sing the blues! That's just wrong somehow.
After seeing an article in the Chicago Sun-Times yesterday about a cult, which featured a surprisingly graphic picture of the nudist cult members, I was shocked, appalled and oddly intrigued. One of my co-workers, the very co-worker who pointed out said picture in the first place, investigated further and unearthed a Website. Truth really is stranger than fiction!
