I complain about how heavy my camera is and what a pain it is to lug it around everywhere. There are no small purses for me. No stealth SLR.
I complain but I almost always carry a camera.
Because if I didn't, I wouldn't be able to capture things like Santas commuting on a Saturday night. The city is a weird and wonderful place that compels me to take a camera everywhere. I want to be the one that shares it.
Attended a performance of the Chicago Community Chorus yesterday. For $10, I got to hear a delightful performance of traditional holiday music including a lovely arrangement of O Holy Night. Plus, I got to see my friend Karen sing!
Their next performance is Saturday, December 13, 7:00 at West Point Baptist Church. 3566-3572 South Cottage Grove, Chicago, IL. Go see them!
I walked past city hall today and noticed the banners surrounding the building. Curious that the honorable Richard M. Daley hasn't missed this opportunity to associate his name with our President Elect.
Is he up for reelection already?
No, but I think I'll watch!
This year's group of contestants from So You Think You Can Dance? will be at the United Center tonight. If you're there, be on the look-out for me. I'll be the geek with the Twitch t-shirt shouting louder than Mary Murphy for the Hot! Tamale! Train!
Oh yes I will!
Flugtag - where stupidity meets costuming meets thrill seeking behavior meets corporate sponsorship meets the occasional Crustacean Avenger.
The Crustacean Avengers easily won the flight competition by gliding a hundred-twenty feet. Though it really wasn't a competition since everyone else plunged straight down twenty. It was a good day for flying lobsters.
The entire photo set of yesterday's shenanigans can be seen here.
More abou the Flugtag event and the teams here.
