A bit about me...
I'm looking for an opportunity to use the skills I've developed managing Web sites and my education in knowledge management to move into a rockin' new job. Why should a company consider me? I have a few reasons...
Because I know the Web! I work on these sites to stay ahead:
- Chicago Bites - This is a podcast dedicated to reviewing restaurants in the greater Chicago area and beyond. Working on this site, I've learned the mechanics of creating podcasts but have also discovered how to integrate on-line and off-line social networking to build a community. I've also learned a few things about food and dining along the way.
- Tammy Green - My Aggregated Life - Initially, this was a place to collect personal thoughts, conversations, and amusements. But in six years, this space has evolved to house more professional and cultural observations as well as reflections on how technology shapes and is shaped by daily life.
- Chicago Food & Restaurant Photography - I highlight my food and restaurant photography projects here. My photography is available for purchase as are my services as a freelance restaurant photographer.
- Tumblr - This is where I put informal observations, quotes, and tidbits that I find interesting. I also track how content that I've put under creative commons is being used via this site.
Because I understand social networking! I use and recommend the following:
- Del.icio.us - Links, papers, interesting tidbits I find online and share
- Facebook - Casual networking
- Flickr - Collection of my digital photography
- FriendFeed - Powerhouse aggregation of social networking feeds combined with a commenting engine
- Twitter - Phatic communication with my network
