Election Day
Fingers Crossed
Today was the primary election in Illinois, so I made my way over to Marie’s Golden Cue to vote. I tried not to be distracted by the “smooth shafts and clean balls” advertised at the pool hall as I considered the ballot. I’m tickled to death to vote in a pool hall, but I don’t understand why they moved it from the perfectly respectable firehouse over on Kedzie. Seems strange to me.
I plan to blame any lapse in judgment on the snooker game happening in the background. I need the excuse because to be perfectly honest, the water commissioner vote just wasn’t high on my list of things to research before heading to the polls. However, I did pay attention to all the big races and did my civic duty to avoid another “Blago”. Fingers crossed.
