01. Started your own blog. I’ve started several, actually. ![]()
02. Slept under the stars. In many states.
03. Played in a band. Clarinet in high school band.
04. Visited Hawaii. Plan to do this in 2009.
05. Watched a meteor shower.
06. Given more than you can afford to charity. I’ve given what I can afford, which I think is sensible.
07. Been to Disneyland/world. Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt.
08. Climbed a mountain.
09. Held a praying mantis.
10. Sang a solo. Nobody wants me to do this, trust me.
11. Bungee jumped. I would do it again.
12. Visited Paris. I’ve been twice.
13. Watched a lightening storm at sea. I’ve been on a cruise, and I think it stormed while we were at sea, but I can’t be certain.
14. Taught yourself an art from scratch. Quilling, collage, drawing.
15. Adopted a child. I’m not really a kid person.
16. Had food poisoning. More times than I care to remember.
17. Walked to the top of the Statue of Liberty. I’ve been to the island, but the Statue was closed due to national security or somesuch. I probably won’t get the chance to go again.
18. Grown your own vegetables. I grew up on a farm & we grew all kinds of stuff. We canned and froze our own veggies & fruit, too.
19. Seen the Mona Lisa in France. The Louvre was closed the first time & the second time my friend K didn’t want to go. The Mona Lisa & I are probably not meant to cross paths.
20. Slept on an overnight train. This doesn’t sound like particular fun to me.
21. Had a pillow fight. I had younger siblings. Pillow were probably the most gentle instrument used during fights.
22. Hitch hiked. Had a car breakdown in the country once. It was hitch hike or walk through the countryside in the dark. Not recommended, but it did work out okay.
23. Taken a sick day when you‚Äôre not ill. Farrah Buller’s day off, baby.
24. Built a snow fort. Oh yeah.
25. Held a lamb. No, though I’ve held all manner of other baby livestock.
26. Gone skinny dipping. Again, this opportunity has never come up. I don’t really feel like I’m missing much.
27. Run a marathon. A 5k is as far as I’ve gone & I feel good about that.
28. Ridden a gondola in Venice. If I get to Venice, I would like to do this.
29. Seen a total eclipse.
30. Watched a sunrise or sunset. Several times.
31. Hit a home run. I’m not much of a baseball player, though I have kicked homeruns in kickball.
32. Been on a cruise. Went in 2006. I wouldn’t do it again.
33. Seen Niagara Falls in person. Once, in the 1990′s.
34. Visited the birthplace of your ancestors. I’m a mutt, so I’m not sure where this would be.
35. Seen an Amish community. I grew up near several.
36. Taught yourself a new language. Sign language, Spanish. I’m not very good at either.
37.Had enough money to be truly satisfied. Money usually has nothing to do with satisfaction.
38. Seen the Leaning Tower of Pisa in person. Again, if I’m in Italy I wouldn’t mind seeing this.
39. Gone rock climbing. I was pretty active in college.
40. Seen Michelangelo‚Äôs David in person. The line in Florence was pretty long, so I didn’t go. I did see the Michelangelo replica they have overlooking the Arno. So I saw a David in Florence, but not the David.
41. Sung Karaoke. Thank god for muddy mike and loud baseline.
42. Seen Old Faithful geyser erupt. I kicked back and had a cup of hot coffee while it went off.
43. Bought a stranger a meal in a restaurant. I have no desire to do this, really.
44. Visited Africa. I’m not sure where in Africa I’d like to go, but feel it should be on the list.
45. Walked on a beach by moonlight. In the Dominican Republic.
46. Been transported in an ambulance. Nope, and I have no desire to.
47. Had your portrait painted. This has a certain appeal to me.
48. Gone deep sea fishing. Sounds kind of boring.
49. Seen the Sistine chapel in person. If I’m in Italy.
50. Been to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. I have!
51. Gone scuba diving or snorkeling. Used to teach SCUBA in college, been several times.
52. Kissed in the rain. I may have, but if I did it wasn’t memorable. I have no current plans to make out in the rain.
53. Played in the mud. Pig wrestling.
54. Gone to a drive-in theater. It was a thing growing up.
55. Been in a movie. No, but I’ve been on a national morning TV show.
56. Visited the Great Wall of China. If I’m in China.
57. Started a business. I think I should do this now.
58. Taken a martial arts class. No, though I have considered it.
59. Visited Russia. Cold Northern places have no appeal to me.
60. Served at a soup kitchen.
61. Sold Girl Scout cookies. My mother wouldn’t let us join & since then, I’ve never been much of a joiner.
62. Gone whale watching. I would like to see the whales.
63. Gotten flowers for no reason. It’s usually nice when this happens.
64. Donated blood. I didn’t like it and made them stop half way.
65. Gone sky diving. I’m on the fence about whether or not to try this.
66. Visited a Nazi Concentration Camp.
67. Bounced a check. I think I did in college, but I can’t be sure. It doesn’t sound like me.
68. Flown in a helicopter. Not an activity to seek out, in my opinion.
69. Saved a favorite childhood toy. I’m not sentimental.
70. Visited the Lincoln Memorial. Last time I was in DC.
71. Eaten Caviar. Not my favorite food.
72. Pieced a quilt.
73. Stood in Times Square. Yes, the last time I was in NYC.
74. Toured the Everglades. They don’t look that interesting to me.
75. Been fired from a job. Yes, right after college. I deserved it.
76. Seen the Changing of the Guard in London. I was fifteen when I saw this.
77. Broken a bone. I broke my shoulder while in Paris.
78. Been on a speeding motorcycle. Speeding…hmmm…been on ATVs, so that might count.
79. Seen the Grand Canyon in person. I’ve hiked the canyon twice.
80. Published a book. Not sure this is my destiny. Maybe an eBook?
81. Visited the Vatican. I would see this if I were in Rome, but Rome isn’t high on my list.
82. Bought a brand new car. Suburu Forrester
83. Walked in Jerusalem.
84. Had your picture in the newspaper. Several times in high school & in major Chicago newspapers.
85. Read the entire Bible. This was never a requirement of catechism & now I’m not religious.
86. Visited the White House. I’ve been outside the gate.
87. Killed and prepared an animal for eating. More than I care to remember.
88. Had chickenpox. Mom tried and tried to expose me to chickenpox, but it never took. I’ve taken vaccines since then & hopefully I’ll never get it.
89. Saved someone‚Äôs life. This isn’t something that I would seek out or hope for, but if I had the chance I would do. Can’t say it’s on the list.
90. Sat on a jury. Twice.
91. Met someone famous. Several, though it’s hard for me to talk to them.
92. Joined a book club. Ick, no. Though I’m a huge reader.
93. Lost a loved one.
94. Had a baby. Most definitely not.
95. Seen the Alamo in person. No plans to go to Texas again.
96. Swum in the Great Salt Lake. Doesn’t sound appealing.
97. Been involved in a law suit. Again, doesn’t sound appealing.
98. Owned a cell phone. It’s currently my only phone.
99. Been stung by a bee.
