I’m not in charge of anything on this trip…car, hotel, map….nothing. Exciting! I’m looking forward to riding shotgun and spotting roadside attractions. I hope there’s at least one farm stand along the way and maybe something freaky like a giant ball of string or cheese castle or historical marker. A girl’s gotta dream…

The latest art project along Michigan Avenue uses re-purposed refrigerators. I recently had to replace mine, so it’s nice to think it ended up as a work of art. Actually, I wouldn’t mind if my ‘fridge looked like this for real.
I can believe the circus that’s going on around the Blagojevich trial, but it looks like his dream of endless publicity is coming to fruition. At the very least, he’s been immortalized by the state’s taggers.
