Celebrating 10 years of digital photography today. Nothing else will be celebrated.

Valentine's Day 1998

I reached into my archive and realized that I have digital photos going back to late 1997! I thought it would be a hoot to start sharing this stuff, so expect to see some highlights from my early forays into the medium.

This was shot on the streets of Chicago with a Sony Mavica. I can't believe I once used floppy disks for storage and shot with something that has lower resolution than my cellphone.

This is also as close I'll come to wishing everyone a Happpy V-day. Especially since I expect to spend most of it where cupid won't dare dwell.

Oh, I remember that Mavica! You were the one who convinced me to go digital. Has it been a decade? Have we known each other that long?

And you're right about cupid. No way would he set foot in the joint :o)
