Using customer generated content to demonstrate impact
I did a search on Flickr recently to see how many pictures there were of our organization on the site. Turns out there were over 2500, which is a lot of content not created or vetted by our public information folks! I argued with myself about bringing this to their attention, but instead decided to use Flickr’s slide show feature at our next meeting. It’s hard to resort to an academic discussion about how or if the organization should react when the results of customer activity are flashing up on the screen. Marketing through Flickr
I received the following comment on a photo I took of a Kingfisher beer bottle: Hi, this is Team KINGFISHER. We’d love to have your photo added to the group KINGFISHER Beer – Cheers. Enjoy the King of Good Times. I like the idea of using photos from Kingfisher drinkers to build an on-line Flickr group.
