Just got back from seeing Peter Jackson’s King Kong. I do believe it’s the first movie that B and I have totally agreed upon this year, and that’s saying something!
A few highlights:
* The meanest bugs this side of a Raid commercial
* The strangest, scariest dinosaur pile-up I’ve ever seen committed to film
* Adrian Brody
* Motion sickness
* A believable and empathetic Kong!
* Spectacular bi-plane crashes
* Naomi Watts on top of the Empire State Building, in a slinky dress and translucent high heals with the only way down either to jump or TAKE THE STAIRS. I was terrified for her…those stairs!!!
* Real love between a Beauty and her Beast, ahhhhh!
PJ, as long as you keep making movies like this, I will never be disappointed!
